I must admit, this posting is near and dear to my hear. I am sponsoring an event called "Style Tastings" coming up in about one month. Every 3rd Friday of the month, local chefs and I partner to bring you the simple and the complex.
Simple: Understand the basics of any wardrobe and how to expand your choices. Each month will focus on one item and how to take it to the next level. July the theme is Re-fashioning the basic T-shirt. These are simple how-tos for both men and women. This is a chance to learn how Fashionistas on a budget or Style Mongers with a busy schedule stay in up to date by RE-working or Re-fashioning the basic T-shirt. We will have examples, demonstrations by myself and fabulous T-shirt designer, Mark Stephan of Tight Flavor Designs.
Complex: Local chefs give you gourmet tastings of complex flavor palettes. This month is dessert and Chef Girl Misty will pair wine with organic chocolates and fruits and nuts. Trust me - this will change the way you think of food. Blind Fold yourself and see if you can name the ingredients....a definite culinary challenge!
Details: It will take place July 16th from 7pm-10pm at my new design studio space in Jingletown in Oakland, Cotton Mill Studios.
Dress: JEANS and T-SHIRTS of course!
Cost: $5 (Yep....trying to keep it manageable for you guys!)
