I just confirmed my moved in date to my new design studio! Super exciting! After racks of clothes and acccessories and fabric swatches everywhere, I now will have a place large enough where I can put it all. It's actually part of an artist live/work building in this restored cotton mill about 3 exits from downtown oakland. After I get settled in a few months, it will be prime to have a little launch party:)! Of course do you need an excuse to have a party?

Mostly, the space will be used for private designer showings (exclusive for your size, your style); small trunk shows (direct from designer to customer); mini workshops and of course fittings and wardrobe evaluations.

Fill out the "Contact Us" form and you'll be alerted of the date of everything happening!

This past month I started as a TA at City College of San Francisco Fashion Department. The wonderful and talented Kelly Armstrong is my mentor and teaches the advanced image consulting class there. I love it! Last week was a guest speaker, PR expert Jackie Wright and this past Monday was the first make over session with clients at the Goodwill. Super exciting!

A break?

It's Sunday and I've been SOooo incredibly busy with clients and shopping, this is the first day I could spend like 8 hours just on admin stuff! You'd think I would get tried of shopping. NOPE! haha. I love it. It's relaxing actually believe it or not!

I just confirmed a spot at the Union/Capsule design festival in May in SF. It should be great. I will showcasing my summer 2010 bags from Mali, West Africa. I've been working with my fair trade association and I've designed the textiles and some cute clutches. I'll post pics as soon as I get them!

Soon...I will start posting men's styling tips on the blog. Stay tuned!

Just finished the Urban Stitch Design Show Sunday. It was good. I had the opportunity to get great feedback about my vintage ties, pocket squares and bow ties. Of course I still sold the boutique bags - still a few left from the Funky Urban Traveler web site. The leather avocado bag, Dean Satchel, Hemp bags from Livity Outernational and leather Bolu bags got a lot of interest.

Afterwards my friend Michelle and I went for a much needed spa at Kabuki! Sigh....wish I had one at MY house!

Thanks everyone for coming to the show!
